A true union ball valve is a good thing to have. It's called true union because there is a union at each end of the ball valve. Once the polypro ball valve is plumbed in place it can be easily removed for inspection, replacement or repair by simply unscrewing the unions and sliding out the ball valve. Slide a new plastic polypropylene ball valve with a true union back in place, tighten and you're done. These plastic valves are made of a fiber reinforced polypropylene plastic for increased strength and durability you would expect in a plastic valve. Also called polypro valves, poly valves, poly ball valve, and quick turn valve. These plastic valves operate with a 1/4 turn of the handle. 1/4 turn on, and 1/4 turn off for rapid ball valve flow control.
